RoBhat Labs is a start up company out of UC Berkley focused on fighting misinformation spread by bots. Although there are a lot of companies who focus on fighting biased journalists, we don't see many fighting against fake social media accounts and bots who spread fake news.

A tool RoBhat Labs created is called Botcheck. This program enables twitter users to determine whether accounts they see are real users, or bot accounts. There is a desktop version out currently, and RoBaht Labs is currently working on a mobile version.
Like in any start up, you may stumble across bugs and flaws in the program. RoBhat labs is asking for your feedback to help them continue to advance the program. If you want to become aware if news your consuming is being spread by bots, contact Max at max@robhat.com and he will get you set up with the program.

Keep in mind this program only identifies fake accounts and bots, so continue approaching news on social media with constructive skepticism and use fact checking websites.
